Architecture

I’ll be honest, a lot of my favourite creatives heroes aren’t illustrators, they don’t work in fine arts, animation or graphic design… they’re architects. The names Goldfinger, Niemeyer, Hadid, Ingles and Gehry are there with the Warhols, O’Keefes, Harings and Simones for legendary creativity. There’s few things I enjoy illustrating as much as the ins and outs of buildings, it’s probably the straight lines of a structure, which I feel translates well to my graphic illustration style.

Here you can browse a selection of the architecture projects I have worked on. Of course, if you are in the industry and would like to discuss working together, then get in touch.

The Dream Workspace

I asked my social media followers what they would love from a ‘Dream Studio’, considering all the important factors from location to furniture, and gym equipment to bubblegum dispensers.

A detailed infographic with statistics and opinions on architecture, nature, work equipment, and personal preferences, including categories like nature, in a forest, high-up, by the sea, near a city, lake/stream, in a city, in the garden, and various design and decor elements.

Bookblock

I worked with Bookblock to create a set of 4 hard-backed notebooks, each inspired by a different type of creative and the spaces they work in.

Colorful notebooks with illustrations of plants, cityscapes, and abstract designs, along with scissors, a small radio, and a tape measure on white tiered platforms.

Girl Scouts of the USA

Development work for a mural to be taken to Disneyland by The Girl Scouts of the USA for an annual event focused on STEM and an all-round sense of adventure!

The project envisioned a new way of developing cities and town-planning, including nature and technology, considering both residential and commercial spaces.

A colorful illustration of a futuristic eco-friendly city with wind turbines, a solar panel, a helicopter, a train, a house with a garden, a person working in a laboratory, and a deer in a green landscape under a yellow and orange sky.
Illustration of an industrial landscape with factories, oil rigs, pipelines, and workers, and the word 'infonomics' prominently displayed, along with a subtitle about a framework for businesses to monetize, manage, and measure information.

Infonomics

A feature article in Ambition Magazine looking at the asset of information and how it can be managed across industries from construction and exporting.

Parlourwood

London-based production superstars Parlourwood commissioned me to illustrate their new premises, giving them a chance to celebrate and spread the word about their new address.

Illustration of a four-story beige building with six windows, some with people inside, a black front door marked No. 1, a bicycle parked outside, and a cat sitting on the ledge, with a sunset sky in the background.
A person sleeping in a bed with a quote on a desk saying, 'Can we really work from home forever?'. The room has wood-paneled walls, shelves with decorative items and a window with a grid cover.

Working From Home

A personal project considering the post-lockdown life of working from home.

Fast Company (and other companies)

Finishing up this portfolio, a collection of editorial pieces featuring a variety of cross-sectioned buildings for clients including Fast Company, SurveyLab, GQ Magazine and The Guardian.

Cross-section of a multi-story office building with people working at desks, a person reading in a lounge, a woman in a kitchen, and various plants and office supplies inside, with a pink sky outside.
