The Old Vic
I worked with Bristol-based design superheroes Fiasco Design to create an interactive, accessible glossary of theatrical terms for the phenomenal Old Vic Theatre in London. The glossary is part of The Old Vic’s new educational hub and aims to bring a knowledge and understanding of theatre, it’s working processes and it’s terminology, to as broad an audience as is possible, giving everyone the opportunity to discover and work in the theatre industry.
While the team at Fiasco took care of the design, interactivity and build of the site, I created a set of illustrations depicting each area of The Old Vic and the cast and crew involved. As you can see below we created two colour palettes in order to have the lit/unlit effect and highlight the specific areas of each illustration as required.
